Considering this delivery window includes the time it takes the seller to ship the item to StockX for this verification process, it is actually relatively fast.

The nature of goods on StockX (in many cases being of high value and rare), it is very important that items are cleared as genuine and that the buyer is getting exactly what they ordered.

If sellers are selling items directly from the retailer and then using StockX as a sales platform, the goods will pass through these separate hands before being dispatched to the buyer.

At the same time, this is the strength of StockX; you can be confident that the goods are genuine.

However, the process of delivery can take longer as a result of these precautions.

That being said, if this scenario is taking place (i.e. the seller is receiving items from a retailer), StockX state that the estimated delivery window will be declared during the order process, prior to you confirming your Bid or Buy Now purchase.

Seller Delays

Another potential reason your item is late is that the seller failed to send it to StockX in a reasonable short time.

The good news is, StockX will have a record of when you made the purchase, and when it arrived at StockX for verification… if there has been a delay in this process, they will make efforts to mitigate it so that delivery is completed ASAP.

However, As a general rule, Sellers have two working days to ship sales.

The exceptions that StockX allows are connected to what I have mentioned above, scenarios where new release items have to arrive from the retailer first.

StockX states that:

• Sneakers sold on the release day have one (1) additional working day to ship (3 days total)
• Supreme items sold on the release day have three (3) additional working days to ship (5 days total).
• KAWS releases sold on the release day may have up to ten (10) additional working days to ship (12 days total)

As you can see from the above guidelines to sellers of KAWS, the allowance of up to 12 days to ship the items to StockX for authentication, means that a buyer can wait up to 16 – 18 business days to receive their order.
