You’ve ordered an item from China and received a “Delivery to Local Courier” Yun Express tracking update.
What does this mean exactly? Where is your package when you receive this alert and is there anything you need to do?
Let’s take a look…
Summary: Delivery to Local Courier – Yun Express
The “Delivery to Local Courier” status alert from Yun Express means that the carrier has handed the shipment over to the local postal service (or courier) inside the destination country. It is now in the possession of the service that will complete the final delivery.
Yun Express: Delivery to Local Courier – Guide
Essentially, this is a good update to receive.
It means that the package has reached the destination country, has been cleared through customs, and has now been handed over to the service that will complete the final delivery.
Depending on which service Yun Express has a business relationship with, this can sometimes be the local postal service (USPS for example), or a 3rd party courier company.
For example, here where I live in Croatia, my Yun Express shipments from AliExpress are handed over to DPD once they reach Zagreb.
The “Delivery to Local Courier” is triggered at this point and DPD will deliver the shipment to my door.

What Happens After the “Delivery to Local Courier” Alert?
The steps after this update are relatively simple. As I have stated, the package is now in the destination country.
The postal service or courier that now has the shipment will likely pass it through a sorting center close to the import location of the package, (in my case Zagreb).
From there, it will be sorted and dispatched to a facility closer to the recipient, or as in my case, directly to my home address.
By all accounts, even on a low budget, slow delivery service from China, (which Yun Express definitely is); you should be able to expect your package within two to three days of receiving the “Delivery to Local Courier” update.

Package Stuck on “Delivery to Local Courier” Update
If you experience “radio silence” after receiving this update and the package does not appear within a few days, a problem may have occurred.
First I would recommend that you punch the tracking number into a universal tracking app such as 17Track or ParcelsApp.
If the local courier service is now tracking the shipment, and these details are not reaching you via the tracking page you have been looking to thus far, these apps will help reveal this information.
If you experience no luck there, you should contact the carrier or postal service that is responsible for final delivery.
These details should have accompanied the “Delivery to Local Courier” update.
If this is not the case, you will need to contact either Yun Express directly and/or the seller or platform responsible for the order.
Remember too, that you have a buyer’s grantee period with the likes of AliExpress. (60 days in its case).
Ensure that you ask the seller to extend this if it is running out and you haven’t received your order. You could also choose to open a dispute with the seller at this point too.
