What does “Accepted by Last Mile Carrier” Mean?

The “Accepted by Last Mile Carrier” tracking update means that your package has arrived in the destination country, has passed through customs clearance and has been handed over to the carrier service that is responsible for the final delivery to the recipient.

How far away is delivery after an “Accepted by Last Mile Carrier” update?

The good news is your package is close when you receive this update. It has survived the export/import process from China and is in the hands of a local carrier.

This could be the postal service of your home country or other carrier service working in your area.

The fact the item has been handed over to the service conducting last-mile delivery means you can expect the package to arrive within just a few days.

Tracking Status Stuck on “Accepted by Last Mile Carrier”

Accepted by Last Mile Carrier

Because the package is reaching the end of its journey when the “Accepted by Last Mile Carrier” alert goes out, it is rare that it becomes stuck on this update.

In other words, the item is normally delivered not long after the update.

However, if your tracking seems stuck it could be that the AliExpress tracking is no longer being updated.

Remember, the item is now in the hands of your local postal service (or carrier). This means you should also check the tracking details with the service that is responsible for last-mile delivery.

If you have not received any details of which service provider this is, we recommend that you type your number into a universal tracking service (ParcelsApp is a good one).

This will check your tracking number against a wide range of carrier services. From there, you will be able to see which company is responsible for delivery and if any more recent updates have been made.

The package still has not arrived after the “Accepted by Last Mile Carrier” update

If over a week passes and your item remains undelivered, it is time to contact the AliExpress seller and/or the carrier service responsible for the shipment.

Note: Generally, it is better to contact the seller and have them chase the carrier service. They are the ones with the contract with the shipping service after all.

You should also check that your Buyer Protection period with AliExpress has not run out. This is 60 days from the original order and will allow you to raise a dispute if the package remains undelivered.

Final Words

Essentially, the “Accepted by Last Mile Carrier” tracking update means that your package is close to being delivered.

It is in the hands of a local carrier service that is responsible for delivering the item to your mailbox or front door, (i.e last-mile delivery).

Within any luck, you should have your AliExpress order within just a few days.
