You’re waiting for a package via UPS Mail Innovations and the tracking isn’t updating.
Does it mean your package is lost? Has it been sent to the wrong address or simply delayed?
Also, what can you do about it?
Let’s take a look.
Why is UPS Mail Innovations Tracking not Updating?
We’ll start by exploring why your UPS Mail Innovations Tracking is not Updating. To answer this it is helpful to have some understanding of how UPS Innovation works.
It is an economy service that utilizes USPS as part of its delivery infrastructure.
To increase efficiency and reduce costs a UPS facility will wait until it has a minimum volume of mail going to a regional location before dispatching a vehicle to the relevant facility. (At this point that facility will belong to USPS.)
In other words, some mail will be delayed until UPS has enough to fill up a truck for dispatch.
This clearly can slow delivery down, and cause the tracking to not update while you wait for the package to arrive at the next facility for scanning.

When Will I Get My Next UPS Mail Innovations Update?
If the fact your UPS Mail Innovations tracking isn’t updating is due to the delay in the UPS transfer to USPS, you should receive a new update once the package enters the USPS system.
This can take several days depending on the extent of the delay, however, new updates would signify that the mail item is on its way to you.
For example, once USPS has received the package and made a scan you could receive an update along the lines of: “Arrived at USPS Regional Facility”.
This means the mail item is at a USPS facility close to your address.
If the package is further along in its journey to you before the next scan arrives you may receive an “Out for Delivery” update.
This would mean that it has reached the post office local to you, and delivery should be expected that very same day.

Which Tracking Number to use when UPS Mail Innovations Tracking not Updating?
The UPS Innovation tracking number that you use will be the same throughout, even as it passes through USPS.
However, it is possible to check whether your tracking number is causing issues by entering it into the USPS tracking website direct, or by using a universal tracking service.
If the tracking number you have has had an update attached to it, you will find it via one of these sources.
What to do if UPS Mail Innovations Tracking Remains Stuck?
If your UPS Mail Innovations Tracking remains stuck for more than a few days a problem has occurred.
The only real choices you have is to contact the shipper and ask them to make inquiries or call UPS Customer Services direct for more information.
You will have to cite your tracking number of course and have other details of the shipment if possible.
If the package has been handed over to USPS, you may be instructed to begin inquiries there too.

Essentially, UPS Mail Innovations is a budget-orientated service that attempts to reduce costs by handing over mail to USPS for final delivery.
The trade-off comes in the fact mail can be delayed before it is despatched to USPS. Tracking updates can also be adversely impacted as a result.
It is wise to be prepared for this in advance.

My local Post Office supervisor said there are 500 UPS Mail Innovations packages… all undeliverable… in her building from just this week. She says UPS has failed to put a usable USPS barcode on all of them. Without that USPS barcode to scan the Post Office can not deliver the packages. The packages do have addresses, but that’s apparently not enough for the Post Office. The supervisor also said the UPS drivers will not take the packages back.
(Might as well send those packages directly to a dumpster.)
Package came to the town where it was to be delivered and then moved to Connecticut. It’s been sitting there a week. Mail innovations is a joke.
EXACT same thing happened to me this week!!!
I think Your Package is with mine because mine is sitting in Connecticut too, it’s been sitting there since the 9th.
Ordered a Hess toy for a Christmas present on Dec. 12. The company sent it via UPS and it stopped in Windsor, CT and no further action. Although, it looked like it reached USPS Stoneham, MA but not “signed off by USPS”. I went to the Post Office and was told USP is behind on their shipping and they had not received anything from them. What’s up? Shame on both carriers if as said in another post the USPS won’t accept anything without their barcode on the package? Both carriers and their illustrious leaders out to get their acts together. Shame on the waste if our products are being tossed! They both be prosecuted for theft and financial losses!!!!!
I ordered a Hess product for a grandson’s Christmas present on December 5th, 2022. It was sent via UPS from Trenton, N.J. and logged into Windsor, CT on Dec. 12th. Allegedly, it was forwarded by UPS to Stoneham, MA USPS, but not signed for? According to a previous commentator, packages are supposed to have a USPS barcode in order for delivery???? Well, who is responsible for that? I checked into the Stoneham, USPS and was told by the manager that yes, both UPS and USPS have contracts to get products delivered for each other, but that UPS is extremely behind and that no UPS packages have been delivered there in Stoneham for quite awhile. So, what is really going on? There should be class action lawsuits for losses against both USPS and UPS for failing to get packages delivered. That manufacturing, customers and insurers are losing millions. Who are the leaders of these providers and why aren’t they culpable?
